Product Description Factory Supply Seal FKM90 Rubber Ring X Rings,also known as Quad Rings,can be used in a wide variety of static and dynamic sealing applications.The four lobed design provides twice the sealing surface in comparison to a standard O ring.The double seal action requires fewer squeezes to maintain an effective seal.X Rings are designed to outperform a standard O Ring in rotary seal applications.The four lobed configuration creates a more stable seal avoiding spiral twisting. Back-up rings are washer-like devices that are used to prevent a seal from extruding through any gaps while under pressure.Back-up rings are not seals themselves,but are usually used in conjunction with O-rings in high-pressure applications (over 1500 psi) for support or as spacers. Typical applications include: Hydraulic cylinders High-pressure hydraulic systems, High-pressure valves.
